Join us in this Dutch Letter Homestead event and learn how to preserve foods using both pressure and water-bath canning methods. This is a Van Wijk Winery co-sponsored "Live Local" event. Love where you live!
In this experience, you will watch a demonstration with instructions to prepare and process food using glass canning jars and lids, preferred kitchen tools, a water-bath canner, and 2 sizes of All American pressure canners (click to see models 915 and 921). You will enjoy samples of two different recipes previously canned using these methods.
Please note - if you cannot commit to stay for the full 2-hour duration of this class, please do not purchase a ticket. The canning process takes time to complete, and it takes the whole experience to understand important steps along the way.
